Sham Elnessim and Mother’s Day

ECCAO would like to invite you and your family to our Sham Elnessim and Mother’s Day potluck brunch event.

Hunt Club-Riverside Park Community Centre
3320 Paul Anka Dr, Ottawa, ON K1V 0J9

Potluck Brunch and Registrations:
Sham Elnessim is a unique Egyptian festival marking the beginning of spring, as it originates from the ancient Egyptian Shemu festival. This year it is celebrated on the 6th of May in Egypt. In Canada, it is even more special as we get to celebrate it with Mother’s Day.
Please join us and bring your family and friends for a fun-filled day where we will enjoy the Egyptian traditions and foods, and hopefully enjoy some sunshine and warmer weather.
The event is a putlock brunch, and we kindly ask you to bring in your favorite dishes to share with all the ECCAO community. ECCAO will provide cold and hot drinks (water, soda, lemonade, coffee, & tea).
• This is an outdoor event, but food will be served indoors.
• Kindly bring in your/your family’s outdoor chairs
• If you can spare a gazebo for the event (in case of rain), that would be highly appreciated
• Don’t forget your sunscreen, hats, sunglasses.

• ECCAO members are free
