Weekly Urban Walks

During the month of April, ECCAO is glad to organize four short urban walks in Ottawa parks and waterfronts. This is a good opportunity for light exercise and social networking.

⇒ The first week’s walk will be from Rideau Eastern River’s side (Click here for location) to Hog’s Back Falls and back, on Sunday April 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

⇒ The second week’s walk will be from the National War Memorial (Click here for location) to (TBD), on Sunday April 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

⇒ The third week’s walk will be from Museum of War (Click here for location) to Sir John Parkway or Bate island and back, on Sunday April 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

⇒ The fourth week’s walk will be from Strathcona Park (Click here for location) and loop around the Rideau River, on Sunday May 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

PROGRAM:
2:00 pm gather at the meeting location
2:10 pm start the walk
2:50 pm short rest at the viewpoint
3:00 pm back at the starting point

HOW TO BE PREPARED
-Dress well according to the weather
-Wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes
-Bring water if you feel the need

PRECAUTIONS
We ask everyone to respect the provincial government regulations.
If you feel sick, you are not to attend the event.
