Join Us for the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival

ECCAO is excited to announce our participation in the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival this year with the Nile Crocodiles team! We’re looking for enthusiastic paddlers to join us in this thrilling event from June 21 to 23, 2024.

Location:
Mooney’s Bay Park
2960 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 8N6

Team Details:
– Mixed: Must race with a minimum of 8 female paddlers.

Team Composition:
– 16-20 paddlers
– 1 drummer
– 1 steersperson
– Up to 6 spares (maximum roster of 30)

Registration Includes:
– Entry into the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival
– Three or Four team practices with certified coaches
– Opportunity for top fundraising teams to qualify for the Charity Challenge Cup
– Access to free concert series and onsite activities
– Opportunity to compete in various community and corporate divisions
– Team site for fun and promotion
– Invitation to the Opening Ceremony and Parade of Champions
– Entry into team t-shirt, site, and spirit competitions
– All equipment provided (boats, paddles, PFDs)

Cost:
$150 per member to cover team registration and practice sessions.
