Annual ECCAO Gala

The Egyptian Canadian Cultural Association of Ottawa (ECCAO) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated Annual Gala night, a truly memorable event that promises an evening of excitement, entertainment, and gastronomic delights. Mark your calendars for a night of elegance and enjoyment!

This year’s Gala is set to be an extraordinary affair, with an array of captivating entertainment and a delectable full-course dinner that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Our team has meticulously crafted a rich and diverse program for the night, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From captivating performances to interactive activities, the Gala promises to be an evening you won’t want to miss.

But that’s not all – this year, ECCAO is proud to announce its partnership with The Ottawa Food Bank. A percentage of the proceeds from the Raffle ticket sales will be donated to The Ottawa Food Bank, an organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in our community. Furthermore, The Ottawa Food Bank will be present at the Gala to accept donations. Your generosity will not only make a difference but will also be acknowledged with tax receipts for your contributions (details provided below).

5:00 PM – Reception and Seating
Arrive early to mingle and find your seats. This is the perfect time to connect with fellow guests and get ready for an unforgettable evening.

6:00 PM – Welcoming Speeches
Join us as we kick off the evening with warm welcomes and introductions. Our esteemed speakers will set the tone for the night ahead.

6:30 PM – Dinner
Indulge in a sumptuous four-course dinner that promises to delight your taste buds. Feast on a menu crafted to perfection, surrounded by the ambiance of the event.

7:30 PM – Amr Ali and The Canadian Arabic Orchestra
Immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of Amr Ali and the Canadian Arabic Orchestra. Let the captivating music transport you to a world of cultural fusion and harmony.

8:30 PM – Raffle Prizes
Get ready for an exciting moment as we draw the lucky winners of our raffle prizes. Will you be one of the fortunate ones to take home a fantastic prize?

9:00 PM – Layal – Belly Dancer
Experience the mesmerizing artistry of Layal, our talented belly dancer. Watch as she weaves a story through her movements, captivating the audience with her grace and skill.

9:30 PM – Mario Tabla
Feel the rhythm and energy as Mario Tabla takes the stage. His percussive performance will have you tapping your feet and feeling the beat in your heart.

10:00 PM – Ahmed Hammad
Let the soothing voice of Ahmed serenade you. Lose yourself in his melodies and lyrics, and allow his music to touch your soul.

10:30 PM – DJ Tito Dance Floor
Although our own DJ Tito is keeping us entertained throughout the evening, it’s time to let loose and hit the dance floor! Tito will keep the party going with a mix of tunes that will have everyone dancing until the late hours.

12:00 AM – Closing
As the night draws to a close, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for joining us at this remarkable event. We hope you’ve had a fantastic time and created lasting memories.

The Ottawa Food Bank
This year ECCAO is supporting the Ottawa Food Bank at the Gala. The Ottawa Food Bank provides fresh and non-perishable food, as well as supplies such as diapers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to its network of over 100 food programs across the city. With their main goal being to work in partnership to provide food relief to people in our city, they are also working towards doing food banking better and making change. They are doing this by focusing on four areas: improving access to healthy food, growing capacity and resilience in the food bank network, cultivate social innovation in food banking, and participate in advocacy and social change
