DESCRIPTION:\nAs part of ECCAO’s celebration of the second year of the Egyptian Heritage Month in Ontario, ECCAO is organizing a session on Arabic Calligraphy presented by  professional calligrapher Khaled Elsheikh. On this amazing evening, Khaled will go through an overview on the Arabic Calligraphy, its history in Egypt and the tools that he uses in creating different Arabic calligraphy art pieces.\nAbout Khaled Elsheikh: \nKhaled Elsheikh is an IT specialist by profession. His interest in calligraphy started in childhood. Mr. Elsheikh earned his Diploma in Arabic calligraphy from Khalil Agha school of calligraphy in 2005.\nKhaled has over nine years of experience in teaching Arabic calligraphy. He currently facilitates classes at the Sufi Institute of Montreal and the Arab-Canadian Cultural Center in Montreal. Khaled is passionate about expanding knowledge of Arabic calligraphy. He conducts several workshops at UdeM, UQAM and McGill universities in Canada.
